At the end of a long hot day, our guide from Pangolin ensured we had the opportunity to capture the setting African sun near Elephant Bay, in Chobe National Park, Botswana. I was able to position my image with the setting sun and a thirsty elephant who had come to the river for one last drink of the day. What resulted was a moment where the sun was perfectly aligned with the elephant. Moments later, the sun and elephant had moved, but my image was “in the can.”
